After a successful first day at Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas, attendees joined us bright and early at the Miami Beach Convention Center for another day of connecting with suppliers and cruise line representatives, networking and gaining key insights.

Day two of Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas commenced with the Founding Partner’s Breakfast. Between 9 – 10am, representatives from leading cruise lines, design studios, shipyards and outfitters, as well as IMO certified suppliers, socialized in the European Pavilion and VIP Networking Lounge over a delicious breakfast spread. The Founding Partners Breakfast was sponsored by Civil Marine Contract, Domitalia, Elledue, Eumar Design, Laticrete, Luxuryspa, Puricelli, SN’D Decorator Services, The Deluxe Group, and VDN-IPPOKAMPOS, who were all in attendance.

Insights from industry leaders

Cruise Conversations Live 2021 also continued into day two with great success. Hundreds of delegates gathered for the day’s opening keynote: The Business Case for Sustainability. Speakers from all ends of the cruise supply chain, including Hammer/Edge, Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, Holland America Group serving Princess Cruises, and Tillberg Design, weighed in on this pressing topic that is becoming ever more important to the industry. Attendees came away with the understanding that sustainability can best be achieved through communication, collaboration and transparency. It is also a goal all businesses should strive for. But, the speakers concluded that full sustainability will take time and should be a long term goal.

“You have to learn to prioritise. You cannot be sustainable 100%, but you have to start somehow and somewhere, and then you build from that […] Maybe it’s a five year plan or a three year plan, but eventually you will get there.”

An action-packed show floor

While another day of enlightening conference sessions took place, exhibitors mingled with visitors from leading cruise lines and shipyards. The Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas show floor hosted hundreds of impressive exhibitors displaying their many beautiful products and services. From kicking back and relaxing in chairs from Fiberbuilt Umbrellas & Cushions to browsing flooring from Bolidt, there was lots to see and do!

There were many beautiful booths on display, from Tarkett’s stunning carpets, to modern outdoor furniture from Tidelli. Dianthus Miami also had some eye-catching floral displays at their booth. You may recognise them from their vibrant floral displays at the CSI reunion party!

Plenty of mingling opportunities

Once again, visitors, exhibitors and speakers were given the opportunity to connect at the Networking Lunch hour. Taking place in the dining area on the exhibition floor, delegates gathered to make valuable community connections. Taking advantage of a varied spread of free lunch, exhibitors were seen mingling with attendees and the friendly faces of the cruise industry. While getting our lunch, we could hear conversations around the morning’s Keynote Session, plans being made for that evening in Miami, and compliments on Lasvit’s booth.

Finally, as Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas came to a close, visitors left the Miami Beach Convention Center having gained new knowledge, made vital connections, and garnered inspiration for their next projects.

And that’s a wrap! Thank you to all those who joined us and made Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas the great success it was. Find out all about the next event here.
