We’re talking about something a little bit different in today’s SPOTTED! Although we love our exhibitors being featured on screen, it’s also very special when they choose to share their successes with others.
When Andrie Iglesias and Esra Ozkan founded Andriali Contract they made a promise to each other. Once the company achieved a certain level of success they would dedicate a large percentage of their time and efforts to help and give back to those in need.
In 2020, the time was right. Andriali Contract was flourishing. Andrie and Esra and their team of experts specialised in hospitality and cruise industry tailoring. They had built a reputation for precision and impressive lead times and numbered several cruise lines among their happy customers. It was time to share their success.
At first, they planned on donating. However, after searching through many Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Andrie and Esra decided they wanted to do more. They wanted to make a difference to people’s lives first hand by establishing their own NGO – Asure USA.
The journey to Tanzania
Andrie and Esra met with Fujifilm, who donated cameras to their project. Then, they set off to Tanzania to find out exactly how they could help.
“We witnessed with our own eyes people walking 8-9 hours to get the clean water and then they have to carry it all the way back. This is the only option, there is no water to drink”.Andriali Contract
When the team found an orphanage in in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, their plans became clear. The orphanage was home to 70 children without access to the necessities that are essential for life – clean water, education and food. Andrie and Esra spent time with the children, hearing from the people running the orphanage and getting to know the people in the community. They wanted to help provide some of the necessities that the children and the community were missing. So, they formed Asure USA.
Asure USA helps provide schooling and housing plans for orphans. The NGO opened two water wells so far, is successfully bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Asure USA’s core values are integrity, compassion, empathy, honesty, love, empowerment, transparency, and a true sense of responsibility to help and support the children of underdeveloped countries.
Andriali Contract have dedicated 50% of their company profit to setting up Asure USA and all costs are being paid by them. Once travel restrictions have been lifted the team plan to go there every other month to see the children and continue to help the communities in need.
