Accomar to Participate in Largest Ship Lengthening Project in Turkey
Accomar Marine Interior AS is a turn-key interior outfitting company based in Tavsanli, Turkey. The company, which was founded in 2015, works around the globe and offers an innovative approach in Marine Accommodation Outfitting for many different types of vessels including cruise ships, passenger ferries, seiners, trawlers and OSVs.
Accomar is strong with more than 20 years of experience of its consortium partners Cita Marine, Oceanist Engineering and Ünoks Companies, from the esteemed Turkish Shipbuilding sector.
Having successfully completed dozens of complex projects in the short period of five years since its establishment, they continue to outfit the interior areas of newbuild and refurbishment projects, among which passenger ships and RoPax projects are predominant.
Accomar are particularly proud of their current projects with Stena Line’s Stena Mersey and Stena Lagan. Their work on these vessels includes the complete refurbishment of existing areas and the outfitting of the new accommodation areas with deck covering, wall and ceiling panels, wet units, internal doors and interior decoration. Altogether 109 new passenger cabins will be added and the public areas will also be refurbished. Once completed, they will hold the remarkable feature of being the largest ship lengthening project in Turkey and will have similar capacity and interior outfitting to Stena Estrid, which is one of the E-Flexer class of Chinese-built RoPax ferries.
