Event highlights

Once again attendees joined us bright and early at the Miami Beach Convention Center for another day of learning, networking, and connecting with suppliers. Read on for our day two event highlights…

Opening day two’s conference was Cindy Guthrie, international president at NEWH, who, alongside Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas’ CEO Toby Walters, awarded Brennan Broome a scholarship. In addition, our very own Toby Walters was granted an appreciation award for sponsoring the scholarship.  After Cindy’s opening remarks, five esteemed designers made their way onto the stage for the first session of the day, ‘Design Trends 2022’. A packed conference hall enjoyed insights from industry thought leaders: Studio DADO’s Javier Calle, SMC Design’s Andy Yuill, AD Associates’ David McCarthy, and Tillberg Design of Sweden’sHelena Sawelin.

While another day of packed out conference sessions took place, exhibitors made connections with relevant attendees.

Those who enjoyed a spot of mini golf yesterday gathered around anxiously as we announced the prize winners for best and worst attempt! Congratulations to Vince Langone and Hannah Hessin.

With day two came another set of show-stopping live product demos. Wowing the crowd today was Dianthus Miami, whose master florist Walter Vermeulen demonstrated how to build a living wall.

After a fruitful day for all involved, attendees enjoyed the last conference session of the day with legends of design from SMC DesignGarroni DesignYSA Design, and GEM.

Finally at 5pm, attendees left the hall having gained new knowledge, created vital connections, and garnered inspiration for their next projects.

To all those who came and made Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas the great success it was, thank you. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Miami Beach Convention Center for Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo 2020!
