Viganò Spa’s growing commitment to sustainability

Viganò Spa is dedicated to developing sustainable production of its fabrics and velvets. As the company becomes increasingly attentive to the theme of environmental ethics, it has achieved a very important result in collaboration with CCPB, an authority certified for Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and Organic Cotton Standard (OCS). This is owned by Textile Exchange, a non-profit organization that promotes responsible and sustainable development in the international textiles market.

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification supports the use of recycled fibers in compliance with the environmental and social criteria. Viganò have developed a recycled wool collection and production process that restores the wool fibers back to their original beauty whilst maintaining high performance and technical characteristics.

The Organic Cotton Standard (OCS) is an international, voluntary standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of certified organic input and chain of custody. The goal of the OCS is to increase organic agriculture production.
