Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Americas (CSI) visitors and exhibitors started as they meant to go on at the Opening Party: having a great time and making meaningful connections. From 7pm, the industry’s leading cruise lines, design studios, shipyards, outfitters and IMO suppliers reunited at the New World Symphony in Miami Beach, Florida for an evening of drinks and mingling with industry connections.
This year, AROS Marine, Bolidt and Welbilt sponsored the CSI opening party. The dress code was Miami Vibes, paying homage to the city where the heart of the cruise industry lies. Visitors and exhibitors alike rose to the occasion, sporting vibrant shirts and eye-catching florals. Even Studio DADO’s canine representative Enzo boasted his own shirt! Partygoers looking nearly as cool as Enzo included Boris Ruskovsky, Petu Kummala and CSI’s own Elliot Preece.
Sponsors Bolidt and AROS Marine welcomed guests to the event with two dedicated speeches. Elite Exhibitions CEO Toby Walters then addressed the room, announcing George Scammell as the chairman of the CSI Advisory Board.
The Opening Party was packed with the movers and shakers of the cruise ship interiors supply chain. Cruise lines were represented by Boris Ruskovsky, Petu Kummala, and My Nguyen. Design studios including Studio DADO were also in attendance. We also spotted outfitters including Accomar. Meanwhile, many of the hundreds of suppliers exhibiting their IMO-certified products at CSI were mingling with the supply chain.
After hours of catching up with old friends, reaffirming business connections and making the acquaintance of future partners, the Opening Party then wound down to a close. CSI America will open its doors at 10:00 on 7 June 2022 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, kicking off two days of exciting product sourcing, networking and the industry-shaping conference Cruise Conversations Live.
